Environmental work at the Department of Zoology
The Department of Zoology actively works with environmental issues in order to minimise our impact on the environment. We take responsibility for the environment in our daily work, and we continuously evaluate our environmental efforts in a constant progress.
The department of Zoology practice research and education in close contact with nature and conservation of biological diversity. We shall aim to "practice as we preach" within these areas.
This can be achieved through a systematic environmental work aiming to limit our energy consumption, decrease general consumption and make for for recycling. By prioritise ecological, environmentally friendly products and by travel with the least pollutant means.
As a co-worker you should be familiar with the central environmental policy of
Stockholm University. You find more information on SU's environmental work at www.su.se/sustainablecampus. You should also be
familiar with our local environmental plan and routines, that ensure that we minimise
our environmental impact at work.
Our local environmental plan founds the base of our development and is yearly revised. The focus areas of the plan changes from year to year. You are welcome to give
suggestions of what you think should be included in next year's plan!
Stockholm university recieved a central environmental certification in 2014.
